The meeting in Narvik is a transnational project meeting where coordinators evaluate the work we have done so far and plan further acivities.
From 13th to the 19th March 2017 the Italian NGO Vicolocorto hosted in Pesaro participants of “First ADR Kit” on the Seminar on ADR in Youth Work. Participants met 6 months after the first meeting and were developing their skills and working on workshops. From the beginning it was clear that they all wanted to challenge themselves and try to concretely create new tools in order to give back what they had learned.
On 20 January 2017 Marzena Ples and Ufuk Bal, participants of FirstADRKit project, were speakers during the academic conference “Open Youth Work” in Vilnius. They have presented the concept of Altenrative Dispute Resolution in youth work and presented what the whole team have done so far in the project.
It’s already been a few months since we met in Worcester, United Kingdom, in October 2016. It’s time to look back now and see what happened and how our project evolved since then. Read about workshops, places that participants visited and people thet met.
Alternative Dispute Resolution sounds complicated? It couldn’t be any less true! Mediation and ADR are not only theoretical elements of a conflict resolution process, but they are so much more. Non-Formal Education is regarded as one the most immersive, practical, learner-centred approaches in education. Combination of ADR and NFE is possible. Take a look!
When talking about mediation or ADR the first things to come to mind refer mostly to business sector, trade market and legal consultancy. That is not surprising. ADR for years has been present mostly in entrepreneurial sector. In order to support amicable and peaceful dispute resolution we need to start at the most fundamental level – youth education.
On 12-15 of April, in beautiful Tallinn in Estonia, we participated in the Kick-off meeting of the “First ADR Kit” strategic partnership: long term project that is going to last for 2 years and engage five partners from Estonia, Italy, Norway, Poland and UK.
Have you ever wished there was a First AID to fix not only bones but also broken human relations? Don’t worry any more, we may have a Kit just for you – a First ADR Kit!
